South Lake Trail

  

The South Lake Trail is a enrty point into the BWCAW.  You will need a permit to hike this trail.

A good portion of this trail is within the BWCAW.  If traveling into the Wilderness portion you will need a BWCAW Permit.  Hiking for the day?  Use a self-issue permit, instructions and the permit can be found at the trailhead kiosk.  If camping overnight, find overnight permit information at "Special Places" on this site, for reservations go to www.recreation.gov .
