Otto/Harris Lake Trail

  

The Otto/Harris Lake Trail is an 8-mile hiking trail that connects the lakes and wraps around each lake. Otto and Harris Lakes are quiet, isolated lakes and each has back country campsites: Otto has 2 sites and Harris has 1 site.

General Information

Directions:
  • Drive east of Hoyt Lakes on County 110 (Forest Highway 11) for 13.4 miles.
  • Turn left (east) on County 16/Forest Highway 11 for 4 miles.
  • Turn right (south) on Forest Road 416 for 4 miles to parking area for Otto Lake.
  • Another way into Harris Lake is from the south on a road called Northeast Grade. This road is rough and prone to flooding. High-wheel vehicles or ATVs are advised. 

General Notes:

The ½ mile portage into Otto Lake is suitable for portage wheels to transport a small boat or canoe.
