St. Louis River Hunter Walking Trail

  

The St. Louis River Hunter Walking Trail is 5 1/2 miles and was built by the Forest Service in cooperation with the Ruffed Grouse Society.  Small timber harvest units provide needed habitat and varying ages of aspen provide feeding and cover for the birds.

General Information

Directions:
  • Take County 110/ Forest Road 11 east from Hoyt Lakes for 2 miles.

  • Turn right (south) on Forest Road 130 for 2 miles.

  • Turn left on Forest Road 790 to the trailhead.
