This is an 8 km figure-eight shaped ski trail, with half of one of the 8's loops across the lake on ice.  This section on ice is not shown on the map, and skiers must use their own judgment to gauge ice conditions and safety.  Access is from the end of Co 16.  The entire trail is in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, so skiers must pick up a self issuing wilderness entry permit at the trailhead or other location.  Trails are user groomed and maintained, and so are single tracked open to only classic skiing.
