Oberg Mountain Trail

A couple enjoys the view from the Oberg Mt Trail in the fall.

Oberg Mountain is a 3 mile moderate hike. High overlooks along Oberg give wonderful views of Lake Superior, Oberg Lake and Moose Mountain. Steep cliffs are at the top; use caution with small children. This trail is a spur trail off of the Superior Hiking Trail.

Directions:

From Tofte, take Highway 61 North approximately 4 1/2 miles. Turn left onto Forest Road 336 (Onion River Road)Proceed up the Onion River Road for about 2 miles to the parking area on the left.

General Notes:

The parking area is also for LeVeaux Mountain Trail.
