Secret/Blackstone Lake Trail

The Secret/Black Stone Trail is a trail system with loops that are 2 and 3 miles long. The trail is ideal for taking a short hike with small children or a longer, more rugged overnight trip. There are numerous locations that overlook Secret, Blackstone, Ennis Lakes or one of several small ponds.

General Information

Directions:

The Secret/Blackstone Hiking Trail is located 20.5 miles north and east of Ely.

  • From Ely, take State Hwy 169 (Fernberg Trail) East 18.5 miles.
  • Turn left onto the Moose Lake Road and go 2 miles. Watch for the sign.

Parking lot on the right side of the road.

Camp only at designated sites or atleast 150 feet from hiking trails, lakes, streams, portages, or other campsites.

There is 1 back country campsite available on Blackstone Lake. Please use facilities provided such as fire ring, tent pad and latrine. Pack out garbage.
