Cascade River Ski Trails (Norpine Trail System)
Cascade River Ski Trails are in the area which includes Cascade Lodge and Cascade River State Park. Most trails are groomed for classic skiing, though there are sections for skate skiing. Easy, intermediate, and difficult trails all are part of the Cascade River Ski Trails. The trails are part of the Norpine Ski Trail System which includes the Deer Yard and Massie - Hall Ski Trails. There are also connector trails to the Lutsen Mountains Ski Area and Bally Creek Ski Trails whose maintanence levels vary throughout the season.

|Permit Info:||Cascade River Ski Trails require the Great Minnesota Ski Pass. Funds from this pass go directly to maintenance and grooming of the trails. To access trails within Cascade River State Park, you may wish to park in an area that requires a Minnesota State Park parking permit. Parking at Cascade Lodge may require a parking fee, inquire at lodge.|
Cascade River Ski Trails are primarily cross country ski trails, however, there is a short segment which is open to snowshoeing. If you are snowshoeing, make sure you are on the correct trail and please avoid messing up the groomed ski trail.
