Boca Rest Campground

Boca Rest Campground is located adjacent to Boca Reservoir in the Tahoe National Forest, 15 minutes from Truckee, California. The campground is situated on the northeastern shores of the Boca Reservoir, near where the reservoir meets the Little Truckee River. The campground is characterized by open areas dotted with sagebrush. A few pines are scattered throughout the site, but shade is limited. The campground offers single-family sites, with a few located right along the waterfront when the water is high. Most sites are fairly exposed with little to no shade. Each site is equipped with picnic tables and campfire ring. Accessible vault toilets and drinking water are provided. Firewood available at the campground at the host site.

Boca Reservoir spans over 900 acres and is a popular location for boating, water skiing, swimming, wind surfing and fishing. A boat ramp is located near Boca Campground on the southwest end of the reservoir, but may be subject to closure during low water levels.Heavy motorized watercraft use in the summer. The Little Truckee River is nearby and offers some of Northern California's best fly-fishing. Special restrictions apply. Close to the accessible historic Boca Townsite Interpretative Trail. The surrounding area offers hiking, biking, horseback riding and off-road vehicle trails. Access to designated OHV routes from campground. Respect other campers. OHV ingress and egress only.
No camping or campfires allowed outside of developed campgrounds.
Directions: From Truckee take Interstate 80 east for six miles to the Hirschdale exit. Go north and under I-80 for approximately one mile to Boca Reservoir. At Boca Dam continue north for approximately two miles and campground will be on your left.

Directions:From I-80: Take Hirschdale exit off I-80. Drive 1 mile north on Boca/Stampede Road. Campground is on north east shore of Boca Reservoir, 2 miles north of Boca Dam.
