NOTICE: The Southeast Alaska Discovery Center is open with limited hours.

Public visiting hours are as follows:

The Discovery Center will be open Thursdays starting Dec. 9, 2021 and continuing through March 2022. Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., closed on federal holidays. Visitors can enjoy the exhibits, purchase America the Beautiful passes or Tongass area maps. Masks covering nose and mouth are required for all visitors for the duration of their stay

The Southeast Alaska Discovery Center is located in downtown Ketchikan and offers excellent information for visitors who are new to Alaska. Come visit the center to view interactive displays focusing on the area's cultural and natural history. Also, video and interpretive programs are presented daily to enhance visitors understanding of the last frontier.
