Hours: The Southeast Alaska Discovery Center summer season public visiting hours, starting May 7 and ending September 30, are Sunday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Fee collection: May 1 to September 30 all areas require a $5.00 entrance fee. Local visitors may purchase a Discovery Center season pass for $15.00 which gets the cardholder and two others unlimited visits from May 1-September 30. America the Beautiful passes can also be used for entry and are available for purchase. More information on our Fees & Passes page.

The Southeast Alaska Discovery Center is located in downtown Ketchikan and offers excellent information for visitors and those who are new to Alaska. Come visit the center to view interactive displays focusing on the area's cultural and natural history. Also, video and interpretive programs are presented daily to enhance visitor’s understanding of the last frontier.
