Lake Florence Trail

  
The Lake Florence trail is 1.4 miles long. The trail gradually climbs from saltwater on Chatham Strait through a spruce/hemlock forest and ends at Lake Florence. The trail is open for the following uses: Hiking

General Information

Directions: Located on the west side of Admiralty Island and north side of the lake outflow is accessed by East Florence cabin skiff. Cabin users may also choose to bring a small outboard motor (less than 10 horsepower due to wilderness regulations). Lake access is by float plane. It is about a 30-minute flight one way from Juneau. Suggested USGS topo map: Sitka D-2, D-3.
