Cabin Rentals

This cabin is surrounded by nearly flat terrain at the head of Sevenfathom Bay which provides many hiking opportunities even though there are no established trails. The cabin has one double wide bunk on the main level and no bunks in the loft. A large deck extends across the front of the cabin. Sitka volunteers built this cabin in 1991. The City and Borough of Sitka provides hot tubs on a first-come first-served basis at Goddard Hot Springs north of the cabin about 20 minutes by boat. Access to South Baranof Wilderness Area is within 5 minutes to the south by boat. Suggested USGS topo map: Port Alexander D-4 What to bring: Fire starter, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, cooking stove, lantern, pots, pans, plates, utensils, food, toilet paper, garbage bags. Mooring buoy available on first-come, first-served basis for boat anchorage. Cabin reservation does not include exclusive use of buoy. Cabin is NOT maintained during the winter. Firewood for the cabin stove may be in short supply or temporarily out at any time of year. Firewood not provided for outdoor campfires, gather only dead and down wood.
