Intertwine this trail with the Forest and Muskeg Trail, the Estuary Life Trail or the pedestrian walkway along Halibut Point Road for a series of varied length loop trails. An easy loop trail with a gentle climb with gravel surface along its length. The first 1000 feet is ADA accessible with a grade less than 5%. Choose to start the trail by climbing log stairs or continue along the ADA accessible portion to the dirt tread trail that follows the shoreline to Mosquito Cove and return via the log stairs. The trail offers a unique shoreline hike to view saltwater activity, shorebirds, and enjoy the dynamic exchange between land and water. Excellent birding area, rich with a diversity of plant life of a western hemlock-Sitka spruce forest.
