Bartlett Reservoir and the Arizona Upland phase of the Sonoran Desert. This site offers beautiful vistas of the surrounding mountains. Beach front camping when water level permits. Near Yellow Cliffs boat launch.

Open Season: Year round
Restrictions: Stay limit is 14 days. No glass containers. Dogs must stay on leash. Shoreline is not accessible – pebbles & sand.
Closest Towns: Carefree and Scottsdale
Water: Available at Bartlett Marina
Restroom: Portable toilets at site, toilet buildings at Bartlett Marina
Passes: Tonto Daily Pass Tonto Discovery Pass are required. Tonto Daily Passes and watercraft sticker may be purchased at the fee machines located at the Cave Creek District Office, Bartlett Vista, or from a retail vendor.

General Information

Directions:

This site is 24 miles east of Carefree. Take Cave Creek Road 7 miles to the junction with Forest Road (FR) 205. Turn right and travel 6 miles to the junction of FR 205 and FR 19. At this junction take FR 19 for 7 miles to FR 459 and turn left. Continue on FR 459 (a paved, low-speed road) for 3 miles to the site. Click Here For Map.

Campground Camping

There are no designated campsites at this shoreline area but camping along the shore is allowed. High water levels will limit the amount of available shoreline in this area. Current lake level information can be found on SRP's Daily Water Report website.
