Lake Creek Trail #3018

Area Status: Open

This trail begins on Forest Road #1010 at Lake Creek Trailhead, near O'Rourck Springs and enters North Fork John Day Wilderness.

The 4.9 mile trail heads northeast to end at its junction with Granite Creek Trail #3016 about a half a mile from the #3016 junction with  North Fork John Day River Trail #3022.

General Information


From Dale, travel north on Highway 395 about 1.2 miles. Turn right on Forest Road 55 and after less than 1 mile, turn right onto Forest Road 10 towards Olive Lake and travel about 10 miles. Then turn left on Forest Service Road 1010 and travel approximately 15 miles to the trailhead on the north side of the road.
