Once the main route into the Jubilee Lake area, the Mottet/Sinks Trail now offiers 4.5 miles of non-motorized access through mountain meadows and old-growth forest.

Current Conditions: Forest trails are not maintained and typically not accessible from late fall through late spring due to snow. Please call the local Ranger District Office for up-to-date information.

General Information

Directions:

From Weston, Oregon: Travel 20 miles east of Weston on Highway 204.  Turn left (north) onto Forest Service Road 64 and drive for 9 miles.  When you come to Forest Service Road 63 turn right and go approximately 9 more miles.  On your left will be Forest Service Road 6307.  Park at the gate and walk up Forest Service Road 6307 for less than a ¼ mile.  The trail starts here.

From Elgin, Oregon: Travel 1 mile northwest of Elgin on Highway 204.  Turn right (north) onto County Road 40 and go 4 miles until you come to County Road 42.  Turn left onto County Road 42 and go for approximately 10 miles.  You will veer to your left and that becomes County Road 63 (NOTE: County Road 63 becomes Forest Service Road 63 at the forest boundary).  Drive approximately 6.5 miles until you come to Forest Service Road 6307 on your right.  Park at the gate and walk up Forest Service Road 6307 for less than a ¼ mile.  The trail starts here.
