This is an abandoned road bed that is now managed as a trail that is 8.4 miles one way. Views of Mt. Bailey, Mt. Thielsen and Diamond Lake are available along the trail.  The lower 4.5 miles of trail consists of the old Summit Rock Road.

General Information

Directions:

From Roseburg, OR, take OR 138 east / northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard.  Continue on Highway 138 approximately 80 miles to turn right onto Forest Road 4795 (Diamond Lake Loop) at the north entrance to Diamond Lake Recreation Area.

The trail starts near Diamond Lake horse corrals which is on the left.
