This steep trail connects Bunchgrass Meadows Trail #1575 with Beaver Creek Trail #1426 and offers two 12-mile loop opportunities, east and west of the trailhead. These trails provide recreational opportunities for hikers, mountain bikers, horseback riders, and OHV users.

Parking:
  • Trailhead is minimally developed. There is plenty of parking for vehicles and horse trailers.
  • Horse facilities include a hitch rail and a spring-fed stock tank a short distance from the parking area.

Directions:

Coffin Butte Trailhead:

From Canyonville, OR, turn off of southeast Main Street onto southeast 3rd Street / OR-227. Continue on OR-227 for approximately 23 miles until reaching the town of Tiller, OR. Turn left onto County Road 46 (South Umpqua Road) and continue for 5 miles. Turn right onto to Forest Road 29 (Jackson Creek Road). Follow Forest Road 29 for approximately 4 miles. Turn right onto Forest Road 3100. Travel for 0.5 mile and turn left onto Forest Road 3114.
