Rattlesnake Way Trail #1497

Area Status: Temporarily Closed

This trail follows the northeast boundary of Rogue-Umpqua Divide Wilderness. This trail enters the wilderness and offers views of the Fish Creek Valley, Mt. Bailey, Mt. Thielsen and Diamond Peak.

Passing through mixed stands of true fir and mountain hemlock, this trail provides access to Mosquito Lake via the 0.5-mile Mosquito Lake Trail #1453, a short spur trail that ends at Mosquito Lake, and Rattlesnake Mountain, the site where a fire lookout once stood.
