Toketee Lake Trail #1447

The 0.4-mile trail runs parallel to Toketee Lake with short spurs leading to the water. Otter, beaver and ducks can be observed swimming in the lake, which is really a reservoir for the North Umpqua Hydroelectric Project. If you are lucky, you might get to see bald eagles flying overhead. Fishing is good with brown and rainbow trout present. There is a boat ramp near Toketee Lake Campground.

Directions:

From Roseburg, OR, turn onto OR-138 east / northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard. Turn north off Highway 138 at milepost 58.4 onto Forest Road 34 (Toketee-Rigdon Road) and the western access to Toketee Ranger Station. At the bottom of the hill, go left across two concrete bridges. Two access points are located near the northwest side of the lake. The parking will be in gravel pull-offs. Umpqua National Forest Recreation Map reference number is H-5. Located at Township 26 south, Range 3 east, Section 35.
