The Historic Diamond Fork Guard Station is available for rental beginning June 29, 2018.

The Guard Station was built in 1933 and is located in Diamond Fork Canyon, just 26 miles from Spanish Fork, Utah.

The Guard Station will rent for $50 per night with a 2 night minimum.  It can be rented for up to 7 contiguous days but you can only tie up only 1 weekend during that time.   This rustic Guard Station has a capacity for 6 people maximum and 2 Cars/Trucks and 1 Utility Trailer. Utility trailer would be for hauling OHV’s. There are beds enough for 6 adults. It equipped with a cooking stove, wood burning stove, kitchen area with dry sink, and furniture.  There are several opportunities to recreate in the area. 

What to Bring:  food, toilet paper, fire wood for the indoor wood stove and outdoor fire ring, matches, flashlights, soap (dish & hand), towels, personal items, cookware, sleeping bags, and lighting for indoors (light source for indoors must be battery run: no open flames allowed inside the Guard Station.)

Water:  No water on site. Bring your own water. There is a dry sink in the Guard Station for cleaning dishes, etc. There is no disposal in the sink, so no solids are allowed in the drain.

Appliances: Cooking stove available; no refrigerator.  Propane heater available but will only be available in the winter months (December 15 – March 1). Due to the tank only holding 350 gallons of propane, the heater should be set on low settings. 

Pets:  no pets allowed inside or outside – no exceptions.

Surrounding Buildings/Facilities:  The rental agreement only authorizes your use of the Guard Station and bathroom.  Neither the garage/storage building behind the Guard Station is included in the rental program.

The recommended route to the Guard Station is through Spanish Fork, Utah. The Guard Station is 26 miles from Spanish Fork Ranger District Office up Highway 6; Take the Diamond Fork Road (FS Road 029) off of Highway 6, follow Diamond Fork Road up to Springville Crossing. Take FS Road 058 north to the Guard Station.

Cabin Rentals

ATVs/ OHVs:  OHVs are permitted at the site. The road in front of the Guard Station a legal OHV/ATV route. All machines must be loaded on trailers at all times while at the station and can only be unloaded onto the road. Absolutely no riding in driveway, except to load onto trailer, or in the Guard Station area.

Hours of Operation: Check In and Check Out:  No check in before 2 p.m. on the first day and you must be checked out before 1 p.m. on the last day.  Guard Station must be left in a clean and orderly manner.

  3. Occupancy Limit:  6 people maximum and 2 Cars/Trucks and 1 Utility Trailer (when you can drive there).  Utility trailer would be for hauling OHV’s. There are beds enough for 6 adults.  There is one daybed, and 2 bunk beds (one full top and bottom, and one twin top and bottom).  No tents or camp trailers of any kind are allowed.
  4. Visitors:  there will be no dispersed camping allowed in the area for other friends/family to stay outside the cabin.  This means no camp trailers or tents permitted.
  5. Parking: Parking allowed only in the driveway. No parking outside the fencing along roadside or across the road.
