Whiskey Springs Nature Trail

  

Whiskey Springs Nature Trail is a interpretive loop trail identifying plants common to the area.  the trail was designed as a rest stop while traveling rather than a hiking trail.  The approaches from either end are paved and the rest is graveled.

Directions:

Access:  From I-15 take Orem 800 North Exit 272.  Follow 800 North to the mouth of Provo Canyon veering to the left, where you tie into Highway 189 in Provo Canyon.  It is approximately 22 miles from the mouth of the canyon to Heber.  Turn right at the Junction of Highways 189 and 40.  Follow Highway 40 up Daniels Canyon.  The trailhead is located approximately 6 miles from the junction of Highway 40.  Whiskey Springs Nature Trail is located at the Whiskey Springs Picnic Area.  Watch carefully, the entrance is approached on a curve and it is easy to drive past.
