Blue Mountain OHV Trail #O-1972
The Blue Mountain OHV Trail (#O-1972) is the longest OHV trail on the Forest. The trail begins at the Elk Creek Campground (area is unavailable) along the South Fork of the Burnt River and ends near the Blue Springs Summit Sno-Park between Sumpter and Granite, Oregon. This 50.6 mile long trail goes through open ponderosa pine and fir forests, across sagebrush grasslands, and small streams
Permitted Vehicles: Off Highway Vehicles (OHVs) less than or equal to 50 inches wide are allowed on the trail; OHVs wider than 50 inches are prohibited.
Access: Major access areas for this trail from south to north are, the Elk Creek Campground and Trailhead, Oregon OHV Trailhead, Blue Mountain Sno-Park.
Difficulty Level: The trail is rated 'easy'.
