Ethan Pond Shelter

The Ethan Pond Shelter is located at the eastern shore of the scenic Ethan Pond at the edge of the Pemigewasset Wilderness. The Shelter can be accessed via a short side trail off the the Ethan Pond Trail (Appalachain Trail). It is an 'Adirondack' style shelter with an occupancy of eight. There are also 5 tent platforms with a total capacity of 20. Water is supplied at the inlet brook. A composting privy, a dishwashing area, and bear box is provided. A caretaker is in charge during the summer months.

Reservations: | For small groups (5 people or less), reservations are not accepted; first-come, first-served basis only. For groups of 6 or more, at all facilities except Hermit Lake, AMC's Group Notification System must be utilized. Information may be submitted online. |
