Dillon Ranger District


Dillon RD

Located in the beautiful Summit County and home to four ski resorts and a nordic center, the Dillon Ranger District also has opportunities for hiking, biking, camping and solitude! Whitewater enthusiasts will find opportunities for rafting and kayaking at several sites in the area.

Summer Travel Season begins May 21, but some trails open later to protect wildlife: 
  • Brush Creek Rd (off of Hwy 9 just south of Green Mtn Reservoir) – June 21
  • Mumford Gulch (by Green Mtn Reservoir) – June 21
  • Keystone Gulch – June 21 (anticipate ongoing construction traffic; the second gate by the ski area boundary will not be opened in the fall this year)
  • Frey Gulch – July 1
  • Shrine Pass Rd – June 21 (Eagle-Holy Cross RD; on Dillon Motor Vehicle Use Map)
  • Tenderfoot Mtn Trail (dirt bike designation) – June 21
  • Tenderfoot Mtn Trail System (dirt bike designation) – July 1
  • Tenderfoot Mtn Rd (OHV and full size vehicle designation) – Sep 1
  • Williams Peak Rd – June 16 (starts in Grand County and continues east of Green Mtn Reservoir)
