Trappers Lake / Shepherds Rim Campground

  

The Shepherds Rim Campground at Trappers Lake has 15 sites. It is on the right side of the road as you travel south from the Trappers Lake Outlet area.  Overflow camping is available at $20 per night.

Reservations: Reservations are available at Recreation.gov. Reservations must be made 4 days ahead of arrival and can be made up to 6 months in advance.
Rentals & Guides: Boats may be rented at Trappers Lake Lodge.
Fees $20 per night, plus $2 NRRS fee June 21- September 29
$5 fee per additional motor vehicle
Open Season: June 12, 2020 - October 4, 2020

Trappers Lake lies completely within the Flat Tops Wilderness; motorized boats and wheeled carts for boat transport are prohibited
Closest Towns: Meeker is the nearest place to purchase gasoline and supplies.

General Information

Directions:

From Meeker, take Colorado Highway 13 east for 1 mile, then turn right on Rio Blanco County Road 8 and follow this for 39 miles to Trappers Lake Road #205. Turn south on Trappers Lake Road #205, and continue for 10 miles. Cross the bridge and take the road up the hill. Shepherds Rim is the last campground on the right.
