Spring Creek Area

  

The Spring Creek area is on the northern end of the Dillon Ranger District and the Gore Range mountains. There is a network of roads open to OHV use and dispersed camping. Much of the area is in the lodgepole pine and spruce/fir forests. There are viewpoints along these roads of the surrounding mountains.

General Information

Directions: From I-70 take Exit 205, Silverthorne/Dillon, and travel north on HWY 9 for approximately 27 miles into Grand County. Turn left onto Spring Creek Road, Grand County Road 10. Follow Spring Creek Road (GCR 10) for 6.8 miles and bear left at FDR 1830 (Doenz Place). After this intersection the road becomes FDR 23. Continue on FDR 23 until the fork in the road. The right fork will be FDR 23 / 1831 and the left fork will be FDR 1832.
