Pine Ridge Trail #3443

  

From the trailhead near Camp Pioneer Boy Scout camp, the trail heads into a Douglas-Fir, Western Hemlock forest connecting with Turpentine Trail, Temple Lake Trail and Marion Mountain Trail before ending at the junction with Blue Lake Trail.

The trailhead kiosk board with Self-Issue Wilderness Permit is located at the junction with Turpentine Trail and the trail to Camp Pioneer.

Current Conditions: Starting in 2021, visitors to the Mt. Jefferson, Mt. Washington, and Three Sisters Wilderness Areas may need a Central Cascades Wilderness Permit for overnight and day use. Learn more.
Fees $5/vehicle/day or a valid recreation pass. No payment accepted onsite.
Permit Info: Wilderness Permits required for visitors to the Mt. Jefferson Wilderness:
  • Day and Overnight visitors: Central Cascades Wilderness Permit required between Friday of Memorial Day weekend and the last Friday of September; reserve at recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777. Learn more.
  • Free, unlimited Wilderness self-issue permit required last Saturday of September until October 31 (available at trailhead)

Closest Towns: Marion Forks, Idanha and Detroit, Oregon
Passes: A valid recreation pass may be used as a form of fee payment.
