Sevenmile Horse Camp

Area Status: Open

Campsites are located at Sevenmile Camp, a trailhead to the Santiam Wagon Road.

This camp accesses the historic Mountain House (area is unavailable), and approximately 14 miles east to Highway 126/Fish Lake Guard Station.

Current Conditions: Closed most of the winter due to snow blocking the access road from Hwy 20. Open to snow shoeing and Nordic skiing.   No services.
Reservations: No advance reservations. All sites are first come first serve.

General Information


From Sweet Home, Oregon proceed east on Highway 20 for 32 miles to Sevenmile Road (Forest Service Road 024). The horse camp is located approximately 1/4 mile down FS Road 024.

  • NO drniking water
