Bear Mountain Trail #3602

The trailhead offers an outstanding view of Diamond Peak, Cowhorn and Sawtooth Mountains, Mout Thielson and Mount Bailey.

The 1.7 mile mostly wilderness trail route follows a wide, flat ridgeline through numerous open grassy meadows before entering a typical alpine forest consisting of mountain hemlock, silver fir, grand fir and noble fir with undergrowth of huckleberry and rhododendron.

The trail ends at its junction with the Diamond Peak Trail #3609, a 10 mile long north/south trail on the west side of Diamond Peak.
