Pioneer Gulch Trail #3630

  

The Pioneer Gulch Trail is a steep access trail to the Diamond Peak Trail. The trail leads up the west slope of Diamond Peak, making it a starting point for those hikers wanting to climb the mountain.

The trail passes through typical alpine vegetation: pacific silver fir, noble fir, douglas fir and mountain hemlock, while dwarf huckleberry, rhododendron and an occasional chinquapin dot the forest floor.

There are several views to the west from this trail.
