Gold Lake Trail #3677

Leaving the Campground, the trail meanders through stands of large mountain hemlock before passing through the Gold Lake Bog Natural Research Area. This unique ecosystem was set aside years ago as a living laboratory. Upon leaving the bog, the trail rises gently through alternating patches of young, bushy trees and open stands of mixed conifers. The trail ends at the Bobby Lake trail about a quarter mile east of road 5897. You can catch the Fuji Mountain Trail # 3674 less than a quarter of a mile from the Gold Lake Campground trailhead, and the Mt Ray Trail #3682 in a little over 2 miles.
