Map of Fields Lake trail

Forest Road 5898-214 (Taylor Burn Road) is an unimproved dirt road and a high clearance vehicle is recommended. The road is not recommended for trailers. Be prepared for hordes of mosquitoes until mid summer. The 1966 Charlton Fire burned over the trail, leaving it dusty and dry. The area is barren with many black snags. The fire was very hot when it burned through the area.
