Irish Mountain Trail #3588

This is a good trail with moderate grades through an alpine forest to Otter Lake. From there, the trail proceeds through a small meadow and then heads northeast along a ridge top. The trail grade is almost a constant climb the entire distance of the ridge with several steep portions. The trail route then travels through rolling, sometimes rocky terrain with several good views of the Waldo Lake area. The route then travels through some flat meadows with large ponds, Finally, the trail climbs to meet Trail # 3307 on the McKenzie Ranger District. Irish Mountain and the mountains to the north offer excellent vistas.
