Waldo Mountain Trail #3592

Climbing steeply at the beginning, the trail then eases off, crossing Waldo Meadows Trail #3591 in about 3 miles. Then it enters thick woods and climbs again all the way to the top and Waldo Mountain Lookout. There is an excellent view of the surrounding countryside and Waldo Lake.

From the lookout, the trail follows a rocky ridge before dropping down to the Winchester Ridge Trail #3596. You can see evidence of the Waldo Burn, which occurred in the early 1900s, on almost of the south side of the mountain.

Be prepared for mosquitoes in the early summer.
