Pinto Mountain Trail #3684


The Pinto Mountain Trail is a short access trail from the end of Forest Road 2316-510 to the Vivian Lake Trail. For those heading to Vivian Lake, this trail bypasses Notch Lake and the Mt. Yoran Trail.

The trail crosses several intermittent streams and passes a low boggy meadow. Vegetation consists of mountain hemlock, Pacific silver fir with huckleberry on the forest floor.

Views from the trailhead include Diamond Peak and Hemlock Butte.

Permit Info: Wilderness self issue permit needed if you continue on into the Diamond Peak Wilderness.
