From Marion Lake, Minto Pass junction trail heads north through Puzzle Creek fire of 2006, Swallow Lake Trail, Bingham Ridge Trail, Hunt's Creek Trail all connect to this trail. Lake of the Woods is 2 miles north of Marion Lake Trail junction.

Current Conditions: 9/10/21: Lake of the Woods #3493 section between Lake of the Woods Lake and Bingham Ridge #3421 has heavy blowdown. Difficult logs to crawl over and around (travel not recommended). Starting in 2021, visitors to the Mt. Jefferson, Mt. Washington, and Three Sisters Wilderness Areas may need a Central Cascades Wilderness Permit for overnight and day use. Learn more.
Fees $5/vehicle/day or a valid recreation pass. No payment accepted onsite.
Permit Info: Wilderness Permits required for visitors to the Mt. Jefferson Wilderness:
  • Day and Overnight visitors: Central Cascades Wilderness Permit required between Friday of Memorial Day weekend and the last Friday of September; reserve at recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777. Learn more.
  • Free, unlimited Wilderness self-issue permit required last Saturday of September until October 31 (available at trailhead)
