Rider Creek Trail #3319

Area Status: Open

Beginning at Terwilliger Hot Springs Trailhead, Rider Creek Trail #3319 heads west along a western edge of Cougar Reservoir. The trail passes through an old growth conifer forest in view of the reservoir at the begginnig and an unnamed waterfall to the south. The trail continues past the edge of the reservoir over undulating terrain before reaching its terminus at Terwilliger Hot Springs.

Current Conditions: 6/6/22: This site was heavily impacted by the 2018 Terwilliger Fire. While hazard trees have been mitigated around the hot springs, other risks persist. When visiting, other potential hazards include: loose rocks, flooding, debris flows, and weakened trees falling. Please, avoid the area during high winds and heavy rain.
Fees: $7 to visit the hot springs.
