North Fork Trail #3666 (Segment 1)
The 4.3 mile, 100 feet elevation gain, trail begins in an opening but soon enters a young forest. As you progress up river, the trees soon become large. The trail meanders along the river giving lots of excellent views and opportunities to walk down to the water. The forest is primarily Douglas fir and western hemlock with an under story of rhododendron and salal. This trail segment ends at Forest Road 1912. A second segment continues across Forest Road 1912 and up river to Forest Road 1919. When combined with Forest Road 19 this trail makes an excellent, but short, mountain bike loop.
