It would be difficult to turn a horse trailer around at this trailhead, nor is there decent space for parking a horse trailer.


From Detroit, Oregon travel east on Highway 22 for approximately 8 miles to Forest Service Road 2233 (McCoy Creek Road), turn left onto FS Road 2233, travel 7 miles to Triangulation Trail #3373. 

  • Triangulation Trailhead is on the right.
  • Hike along Triangulation Trail for about 1.5 miles to Triangulation Peak Trail junction.
