South Loop Snow Trail

Ray Benson Sno-Park » South Loop

Beginning at Ray Benson Sno-Park, South Loop Snow Trail  heads southeast, paralleling Big Lake Road and Sand Mountain Loop Snow Trail (snowmobile).

The trail circles east to Brandenburg Butte and Brandenburg Shelter (on the Deschutes National Forest). It then joins with Circle Lake Trail and continues to the west where the loop ends near Hayrick Butte.

On clear days, the route offers views of Mt. Washington to the south and Three Fingered Jack to the north.
