Current Research
- I am a member of a team that has been assigned the problem of conducting research to develop inventory based estimates of carbon on United States forest lands. My research is focused on aspects of empirical estimats forest carbon principally through the use of current and past forest inventories as well as various ancillary data.
- Results of this research are intended to address some of the management and policy issues of forest carbon sequestration that are of concern to government policymakers, industrial and nonindustrial landowners, and conservation groups.
Research Interest
Plans for research direction include continuing to develop estimates of forest carbon stock and stock change and investigate the use of various non-parametric regression methods.
