Abstract
In our day-to-day struggles, we must keep our eyes on what is going on. The bottomline questions are, will we be harvesting timber 10 years from now, or will the Forest Service as an agency even exist 10 years from now? The author is not optimistic, but still holds some hope. That hope is in silviculturists and others who are willing to step forward and speak out.
