Social and Community Impacts of Wildfire

A team of scientists led by Project social scientist Daniel R. Williams is examining ways to assess and monitor the social and community impacts of large wildfires that occurred during the 2000 fire season in the northern Rockies . The work originally focused on four case studies in that region but was expanded to include the Hayman Fire ( Colorado ) and the Rodeo-Chedeski Fire ( Arizona ) from the 2002 fire season. See also Communications and Public Understanding of Wildfire for related publications on this topic.
