The Forest Inventory and Analysis Program (FIA) is the only comprehensive field-based inventory of all forest ownerships in each of the 50 states, affiliated Pacific Islands, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands (since 1928). The Interior West FIA, administered by the Rocky Mountain Research Station, conducts multi-resource inventories in the Interior West States of Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming.

Inventory, Monitoring, and Assessment (IMA) is a new and evolving approach for conducting strategic inventory, monitoring, and assessment activities in support of priority business requirements of the agency and its partners.

Download the Inventory, Monitoring, and Assessment brochure (14” x 8.5”) to learn more about IMA and the FIA Program.
