One of the bibliographies included in the supplemental materials for the 2016 Rio Grande National Forest Climate Change Plan Revision workshop.

This bibliography provides relevant scientific citations with abstracts on topics identified by the Rio Grande National Forest staff as important to the development of their assessment and plan components. The studies, sorted by date, historical and future with climate change effects, focus on fire. The collection of studies focus on forests from high elevation forests in lodgepole and spruce-fir forests to ponderosa pine, pinyon-juniper woodlands, and sagelands at lower elevations.

Site-specific studies on the Rio Grande National Forest and San Juan Mountains are included, however, there are relatively few climate change effects fire studies on the Rio Grande. Several studies include regions that overlap the Rio Grande National Forest or cover similar western US climates and fire regimes like New Mexico and other areas of Colorado and the Rocky Mountains. The majority of studies are for the Rocky Mountains and western United States.
