The Rocky Mountain Research Station produces publications, tools, datasets, and other media in an effort to make our science available to natural resource managers, policy makers, and the public. We hope our products will prove useful to those who depend on the natural resources of the Intermountain West for their livelihood and quality of life.

  • Science You Can Use Bulletins — The "Science You Can Use Bulletin" content type is a bimonthly USDA Forest Service Rocky Mountain Research Station publication providing synthesized scientific information for high-priority management needs. It synthesizes current research conducted by Station scientists and collaborators on hot topics, and delivers key science findings and management implications to people who make and influence decisions about managing land and natural resources.

  • Science Spotlights — The “Science Spotlight” content type is used to feature new (or updated) and unique research findings, to highlight completed research projects, or to feature interesting collaborative work.

  • Projects — The “Project” content type is designed to give land managers, policy makers, and colleagues a greater and more in depth understanding of the research that RMRS scientists are doing.

  • Ecoregions — "Ecoregions" are large areas of similar climate where ecosystems recur in predictable patterns. The Rocky Mountain Research Station provides resources and education on the origins of these patterns and their relevance to sustainable design and planning.

  • Tools — The "Tools" content type is used to house all RMRS developed tools designed to enhance research.

  • Datasets — The "Datasets" content type is a collection of all data related to the RMRS footprint.

  • Multimedia — The "Multimedia" content type includes RMRS related photos, videos, podcasts, webinars, and story maps.
