The Rocky Mountain Research Station, which is part of the Research & Development branch of the U.S. Forest Service, conducts highly integrated research at all scales — watershed, landscape, and regional, as well as national and sometimes international — to address problems of environmental and social concern.  We work in collaboration with universities, other federal and state government agencies, and non-government organizations on studies that contribute to the sustainability of our forest resources. Our scientists aim to provide knowledge and tools to managers and decision-makers to assist in the sustainable management and use of our nation’s natural resources.
