FIRE-BIRD is an ArcGIS spatial tool for applying habitat suitability models to generate maps that inform forest management planning. This tool focuses on disturbance-associated woodpecker species of conservation concern.

FireWorks is an educational program about the science of wildland fire, designed for students in grades 1-10. The program consists of a curriculum and a trunk of materials, including laboratory equipment, specimens, CDs, books, and kits of specialized materials for teachers. FireWorks reaches approximately 2,000 students per year.
FuelCalc is a fuel characteristics simulation software program that calculates initial canopy fuel characteristics and quickly simulates the effects of thinning, pruning, piling and broadcast burning on ground, surface and canopy fuel characteristics.
