Wood Grants
Healthy forests depend on a healthy forest products economy. Through the Wood Innovations grant program and the Community Wood grant program, the Forest Service supports innovation in the wood products economy, expansion of wood energy markets, and promotes wood as a sustainable building material.
Wood Innovations Grants – FY 2023 Funded Proposals
The Wood Innovations Grant Program, officially named the Wood Innovations Funding Opportunity Program, is investing in proposals that expand traditional wood utilization projects, promote using wood as a construction material in commercial, institutional and multifamily buildings, and expand wood energy markets. Healthy forests depend on a healthy forest products economy, and these investments support local economies while directly contributing to improving forest health and lowering wildfire risks to communities.

Community Wood Grants – FY 2023 Funded Proposals
Community Wood Grants, officially titled the Community Wood Energy and Wood Innovation Program, awards funding to shovel-ready projects to install a community wood energy system or build an innovative wood product facility.
