Annual Inventory- Moving Average Tables Each year 20 percent of all FIA plots are measured in Tennessee. Spatially distributed across the state, the most recent plots collected are added to the previous four years of plots to represent a full compliment of data averaged over five years. The moving average allows some assessment of the small change occurring annually. Some estimates may not match previously published tables and/or reports. Past estimates have been updated to reflect current definitions. When comparing current estimates to the past, users should make use of the updated estimates in order to ensure the most appropriate comparison is being made.
